How to Export The Google Document To Microsoft Word _ Print Google Docs

So, this is one of the easiest ways to print a Google Doc that is with comments. Also, this is the first export as a Word (.docx) file. You have to do this, with your Google Docs document and then open it. Then select File that is from the menu, and also select the Download, option. After that, select Microsoft Word (.docx).

You can also save the document to your computer. Then if you open the file in Microsoft Word. Then you will also see that the comments are included.

In case, if you don’t see the comments, then you can also select Review that is from the Word menu. Now, select Comments from the ribbon, and select Show Comments.

Then you are also ready to print. You Just have to select the File available from the menu, and then Print. Now, You should also see the comments appear in the preview to the right. Then press the Print button to send the document to the printer.

In case, if you don’t see comments in the print preview. Then select Print All Pages under Settings, and then make sure Print Markup is selected. So, This will also make the comments show up on the printout. Also, If you have Microsoft Word on your computer. Then this is the fastest and easiest way to print a Google Doc with comments.

How To Export The Google Document To OpenOffice _ Print Google Docs

In case, if you don’t have a licensed copy of Microsoft Word. Then the other option is to export the document as an OpenDocument (.odt) file. Now, You can also open this file with several OpenDocument compatible programs. Just like Apache OpenOffice, LibreOffice, and more.

You have To do this, that is inside of Google Docs. Then you can also export to ODT by selecting File from the menu. You have to select Download, and also select OpenDocument Format (.odt).

To Save the ODT file to your computer. So, You can also open the file in any OpenDocument file just by using your preferred program just like OpenOffice Writer. Now, You will see in this document that all comments are included in the right margin.

Then you can also print the document (with comments) just by selecting File. This is from the menu and selects Print. So, You may not see the comments in the print preview. In case, if this is the case and then select the Comments dropdown. You can also select either Place at end of the document or Place at end of the page.

Now, The comments will also print at the very bottom of the document. This is available at the bottom of the individual pages where the comments exist.

To Download The Google Document As a Web Page

In case, if you don’t want to use an external application and then print a Google document with comments. So, you can also convert the document to an HTML file and also use Chrome’s print feature to print it with comments.

You have To do this, and then select File from the menu. Now, select the Download option and then select Web Page (.html, zipped). So, This will save a zipped file onto your computer. You can also Unzip the file and then open the HTML file with Chrome.

Now, You will also see the comments notated on each line. So, where the comment existed in the Google Doc as a letter. Having this at the bottom of the document, and then you will also see all of the comments next to their letter notation.

You have To print the document, and just press the three-dot menu icon. That is available at the upper right corner of the Chrome window and select Print. Now, Select the printer where you want to print, and select Print. Your entire document included with comments will print out at your selected printer.

To Use The Full Page Screen Capture Chrome Extension

In case, if you prefer using your Chrome browser but don’t like the formatting of the export to HTML feature. Then you can also instead install the Full Page Screen Capture Chrome extension.

So, These features also insert a small camera icon available at the top of your Chrome browser. Now, you can also click to capture a screenshot of your entire Google Docs document. If you have installed this extension and then you are ready to capture your document, press the camera icon.

So, This will also open a new window with the title Full Page Screen Capture. Now, with the entire document displayed, including comments. You have To print it, and then just select the PDF icon available at the top. Then download the document in PDF format and print it from your computer.

To Use The Google Document With Comments Printer Chrome Extension

The other excellent extension that will also work to print a Google doc with comments. Now, this is with the Google Document with Comments Printer Chrome extension.

If you install this extension, then a printer icon will also appear at the top of your Chrome browser. Now, This extension actually adds the functionality to Google Docs and then to print your Google Docs document with comments.

Also, if you select the icon, having a pop-up will also appear providing you. Now, having this with the ability to choose whether or not you want to include comments in the printout, and how you want those comments to be formatted.

You can choose to print only the comments, or the entire document with the comments included. You can also have the extension draw lines between the comments if you prefer. Before the extension prints the document, you’ll have the option to choose what printer you want to send it to. When you do, you’ll see a print preview, with the comments displayed to the right of each page that they’re on.

As you can see, even though you can’t print a Google doc with comments because that feature is lacking from Google Docs, there are plenty of workarounds.

Whether you choose an outside application like Microsoft Word, and HTML printout, or one of the Chrome extensions, really comes down to personal preference. Each option is just as simple and easy as the next.
